February 10, 2014 – Monster Energy/Arctic Cat’s Tucker Hibbert had a perfect weekend in Salamanca, New York to sweep rounds nine and ten of the ISOC National Snocross tour. Seneca Allegany Casino hosted the only eastern stop of the ISOC tour and featured the shortest track of the season with pro rider lap times dipping into the low 20-second range.

Hibbert entered Friday night’s Pro Open final with first start line pick after winning both his qualifying races. He grabbed a third place start in the 15-rider, 28-lap main event but was shuffled back to ninth on lap one after getting tangled with another rider. He put his head down and by utilizing the outside sweeper lane of the split corner in turn two, he picked off riders every lap. Near the halfway mark, he laid down the fastest lap of the race and moved into third place. On lap 16, he took the lead and never looked back to finish the race five seconds over second place.

Saturday began the same for Hibbert by sweeping his qualifying races. In the final, he got another third place start but quickly slotted behind leader Kyle Pallin. He spent the first ten laps of the 28-lap race stalking Pallin, looking for a line to make a clean pass. Riding smart on the choppy, icy track, Hibbert passed Pallin and took control of the race to record his 89th career victory.

Next up for Hibbert is the Ram Truck National in Mt. Pleasant, Mich. February 21-22. The event will be streamed live online at ustream.tv/isoc and broadcasted on CBS Sports Network.

Tucker Hibbert – #68 Monster Energy/Arctic Cat
“It was another weekend of short track racing so I’m happy to end the weekend healthy. Under a thin layer of sugary snow, the track was really icy. It was tough on the body and sled. It feels good to sweep a weekend again and to stretch out my points lead. The Monster Energy/Arctic Cat crew did an awesome job helping me make adjustments to my sled to get me as comfortable as I could be on the track.

I’m really looking forward to the Mt. Pleasant race. I heard the track is going to be big which makes me excited. It’s a first time event so it’s hard to know what to expect. Hopefully there will be a big crowd and we can put on a good show.”
