8 seconds & 160mph. Get ready!

“The seventh season of the National Speed Association Pro Stock 1000 Snowmobile series gets underway this month at New England Dragway in Epping, New Hampshire.  This opening show is the first stop in the four race tour for 2011 and will present the drag racing division.  With speeds of just under 160mph and quarter-mile times in the low 8-second range, the NSA series offers fans an exciting and colorful array of racing competition.   New England Dragway has made several improvements to it’s facility during the off-season.  Most notably is the change to a completely concrete racing surface.  NSA’s Veteran racers are very excited to compete on the newly resurfaced 1320′ concrete track.

Qualifying for the single-day event gets underway mid-morning Saturday June 11th, with two scheduled qualifying sessions before evening Elimination rounds begin.   The event purse is possible with the support of great sponsors – Abbott’s Power Equipment, Millennium Technologies, MSD Ignition, Wahl Bros Racing, Dalton Industries, Camoplast, PCS Performance, Moto Tassinari, Bangor Motorsports, Land & Sea and daSilva Motorsports.  The winner of the event will go home with $1250, runner up will receive $500 and each semi-finalist will receive $100

The NSA Pro Stock Asphalt Snowmobile series will compete in four points races this season, all at New England Dragway in Epping, New Hampshire.”
